By the Order of the Holy Inquistion: =][=

So I have recently bought a Stormraven.....While looking like a good kit but not really having the feel I want for my INQUISTORIAL warband (ordo all please). Now if GW released a Thunderhawk in plastic I would own a few.....4 Crimson Fists, 2 for my Sisters, 2 For my Inquistorial troops......ok Just 1 for the the sisters and 1 for the Inquistorial troops.
But My Inquistor needs to fly in style....Enter the Storm Raven deemed "Black Bird" and yes it will be black. I hope to combine a valkyrie and Stormraven to build the mini thunder hawk shown alove in the 2 images.
It will count as a SR with heavy bolters under the wings (twin linked) instead of the nose, lascannons on the stablizer wings above the main wings (twin linked) instead of the (ugh....WHY GW WHY) turret, and the Valkyrie missiles inder the wings on a pylon. STAY TUNED

Trolling, Why do we tolerate it?

Why do we allow the least mature amongst us to diminish the quality of our favourite sites?

Lately, the "first" phenomenon has gotten to the point that the first twenty responses to an article are just sequential numbers, such as first, second and, so on, or even dumber people trying to turn the comments section into some lame rp event. When they are not simply saying first, they are hiding it in the comment, and then there are a half dozen(if we are lucky) comments on how clever the troll was in hiding first(or the following sequential number)

I say that I have had enough. We can do something, and it isn't difficult, report the trolls comments as inappropriate. If the mods question it, tell them, the comment is inappropriate because it derails any discussion away from the subject of the article. Eventually the trolls will either stop, or have nowhere they are welcome.

Either way we win.

Dork mechanicum

I have had a few ideas lately regarding the astartes and their equipment and their style of warfare. since they are supposed to be a rapid assault force, and heavy/ naval borne equipment goes against the grain of this style of warfare, i had a few ideas for additions to their armory to represent this:

Munitions drop pod: astartes drop pod armed with: pair of hurricane bolters, or thunderfire cannon, or typhoon missile launcher

my idea is that they would be 1-3 per heavy support slot, they roll together for reserves, but can deepstrike seperately

another idea is adding hurricane bolter sponsons to rhinos for 30 points, maybe in leiu of an additional storm bolter/hk missile, in addition they would reduce the access points to the rear ramp.

I have also had some ideas for chaos:

giving chaos preds the option of reaper autocannon sponsons for 40-50 points on preds (mostly an aesthetic choice) or havoc launcher sponsons for 30-40 points or heavy flamer sponsons for the same cost as the heavy bolters
other ideas for chaos preds is to give them a turret weapon that is strength 6or 7, small blast and ap 4-5, a kind of mini batttle cannon.

Iron Hands Time!

Ok peeps, List time
For a while since I gave up my Iron Hands (they survived the fire, but the damage was uncleanable,)
I've been wanting to rebuild them, but how?
Do I do an infantry horde list?
A Tank/Track gansta list?
Or do I make a Drop podding on you shit in the first turn and hope I make my armor saves list?
I choose Option C.
With Vaylund Cal's spiffy rules here it goes

Iron Hands Clan Infernus Drop pod Assault team:
HQ:
 Vaylund Cal
Armenius Valthex
Elites:
Venerable Dread with Assault cannon, heavy flamer, extra armor, mounted in a Lucius drop pod.
Ironclad Dread with seismic hammer, DCCW, 2 heavy flamers mounted in a (you guessed it) a Lucius drop pod
Troops:
Tactical Squad: 10 men, meltagun, Missile launcher Sgt. with Power fist, in a drop pod
Tactical Squad: 10 men, meltagun, Missile launcher Sgt. with Power fist, in a drop pod
Tactical Squad: 10 men, flamer, Lascannon, Sgt. with Power fist, in a drop pod
Fast Attack:
Land Speeder Typhoon: Heavy bolter
Vanguard, Jump packs 5 men, 3 power weapon storm shields, 1 thunderhammer storm shield, Sgt. with relic blade, storm shield
Heavy Support:
Devastator Squad: 10 Men, 4 Heavy bolters, Sgt. with bolter, drop pod
Devastator Squad: 10 Men, 4 Missile Launchers, Sgt. with bolter, drop pod
Hope this plan works
