So a few months ago I wrote this blog.....eBooks and me discussing the different books I have bought from Black Library.
Well it is update time.......
I had really high hopesfor this book.......and was let down. Really similar to the previous version.
Oh baby.......Assassins available in all Imperial armies and you buffed the Assassains too....drool
Ok not an an Ultramarine fan but this was a nice surprise for Codex: Space Marines users......all terminators, dreads, landraiders, storm ravens and a Captain in terminator armour. The possibilites......and kicked again, but just in the shin. Normal Terminator Captain or Lysander HQ sweet. Limiting the models I can take in a squad and what I can take kinda sucks but I like terminators......so
Sister of Battle short story........I couldnt find my paperback. Plus I like this story.
The Sequel to Faith & Fire.....Not as good as Faith & Fire but good story featuring Necrons and Sanctuary 101
And the Legendary Grey Knights........um toned down quite a bit. No more Draigo wing but I may be one of the few that like it better. Formation Nemesis Strike Force (1 hq 1 troop min) and deep strike on turn 1....YES PLEASE! Let see so 6 model minimum and all terminators. A list I am working on I gains 10 Force points before dice rolls at 1500 pts...PS did I mention I like Terminators

WIP Sisters of Battle Part 3
So nothing to update, been sick and lacked time to work on figures. I did pick up some various bits from Trolls.cz including the weapons (the link takes you to) some axes, torches and other various Sisters of Battle items.
I also scored 4 sets of LONG out of print Forge Worlds Rhino Spaced armor for a decent price
I also scored 4 sets of LONG out of print Forge Worlds Rhino Spaced armor for a decent price
I have been looking for these for awhile (Not the actually ones but a stock photo)
Plus I am waiting for an email to order the multiple Repressors I want.
Armour Value 13/11/10 6 + invulnerable save.....with a a stormbolter and heavy flamer PLUS 8 models firing out of it....UM Yes Please
On the Subject of armored vehicles, The Immolator
The Original Kit
The FW Kit
The Current kit
I have an idea: Demois Pattern FW rhino, lots of plasticard, some FW icons and Brasss etch Fleur de Lis and I have a MK I ........too many ideas.
On a Side note I was debating adding a Storm Trooper detachment to my Inquistorial section but as I looked at the points, the mass valkyeries and overall money cost was crazy. So I decided my Ordo Hereticus Inquistor will ride in a land raider redeemer with his body guard.
Stay tuned for updates. and next time I'll have pics.

WIP Adepta Sororitas Part 1
so I have started working on my Adepta Sororitas army again. I filed down on the mold lines I have missed over the years, stripped the old paint, and drilled out the bolters. This time around I am painting up my Sisters as the Order of Our Martyred Lady. But why did I change from the Order of the Bloody Rose?
So for a quite a few years I being working on my Sister to be the Order of the Bloody Rose......when I would work on them. Frankly I hated painting their red armor and tried multiple ways to speed through it and was never happy with the result. I would look at images at Bloody Rose rhinos, repressors, exorcists, and immolators and the nightmare was worse......So it was time for a change, again.
The 2 divergences I am doing from the Fluff of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is their bolters being all boltgun metal (mine will be black or gold for celestians) and they will not all have white hair. The white hair I never understood....The surviving members from the battle of 3rd War of Armageddon, yes I could the stress of that war. But to effect the entire chapter.....nope don't think so!

eBooks and me.......
So I think I have a problem.......or I'm just cheap.
and I can trace my problems to one thing.....
and I can trace my problems to one thing.....
When Black Library Released the Adepta Sororitas book I thought its just the one.....(Yes I did pre order it)
Then they released this book:
Which I pre ordered this book too. And thought well I'm done now....
SO WRONG on my part.....as of today here is my eBook collection:
Codexes, Data Slates and Supplements:
So I was not a fan or the ebooks, supplements, Codex, dataslate at first. But obviously they have grown on me. I still need to pick up the Knight codex and if they EVER release the Scions book I will get that one too. Debating on getting the Space Marines, Escalation, and Main Rulebook as it is nice having all my books on my tablet.

Review time: The Army Painter Warpaint series Part 1
WAR009 here with another product review.
So I purchased some new paints but yet to use them till today. Ok I used some for eyes and such but today I began painted some primed Adepta Sororitas figures in anticipation of their new Codex release next week.
My Adepta Sororitas army is painted as the Order of the Bloody Rose (see image below)
The Army Painter war paints is a very nice alternative to GW paints so far. This is not a surprise as the company was created by former GW employees. They offer multiple shades, and 100% match from paint pot to spray paint.....which will be really nice if that is true.
Back to painting I go......5,000 Points + Sisters wont paint themselves....I wish they would

So after looking the line at The Army Painter Shop, I decided to go with Dragon Red (it is also available in spray form) as my main color. After checking my FLGS, I was able to buy the paints and can of the quickshade (Soft tone...Review at a later date) from them.
Ok the bottles are sold in .6 fl oz/ 18 ml eye dropper bottles (similar to vallejo) for @ $3.00 a bottle. so price is good compared to GW, but will last longer do to the GW pots going bad quickly for some reason. The eye dropper is interesting to me as it allows me to limit the paint in my pallet (yes you'll need one to use the paint). The paint does need to be shaken VERY WELL before use. I heard people are dropping one 6mm airsoft plastic BB into the paint to help shake it (this is something I am going to attempt to do, also).
So far I I painted 2 models in the Dragon Red and used 3 drops....a lot less than I would have used in Red Gore. Now the red is a lot lighter than I would like but this is all pre-quickshade so it should darken.

16 years
So Entropmancer has been playing longer than I have. I started late 2nd edition so 1997. Of course the first army I had was the space marines from the box set. After a few games I saw a box sitting on display at a LGS (Game Depot when it was by ASU) and was intrigued....Sisters of Battle. I saw the price and was shocked...99.00 for 5 Seraphim, 7 sisters of battle in one squad and 5 in the other, a banner bearer, and the cannoness. Also included was decals, Banners and a relic. But no Codex in store. I was at a mall a few days later and they had the Sisters of Battle Codex at the GW cart...FOR $19.99. I bought the codex and began reading it...it was marines light but had cool things marines did not. I went back to the LGS and bought the Box set a few days later. Here it 4 editions later and 16 years have passed...and I look at the armies I have built, played, sold, collected, bought etc....Lots of power armor, lots of marines in those 16 years but one constant and entropmancer even laughed a few months ago when he was over....a pile of books was on the table and it was every rule set the sisters had. 16 years of playing sisters of battle. 16 years I watched them win, lose or tie. I have lost every model, watch models be captured (damn Entropmancer and his Dark Eldar in 3rd ed), watched an Exorcist get launched into a Immolator (thanks to Entropmancer's Greater Daemon of Khorne). But I also have watched Ravenwing lose before their 2nd turn, watched Zealots kill 16 Khorne Bezerkers and 8 Khornate Bikers without taking a causality, Sacrafice themselves killing an Eldar titan. My Sisters of Battle have one of the Dark Angel's The Book of Secrets (funny story....Entropmancer knows it). 16 years almost 200 models, multiple rhinos, repressors, immolators, exorcists. Many stories of their battles and characters.....16 years worth.
As the pre-order approaches for the ebook version I find myself excited. I don't like the ebook format but it is the Adepta Sororitas, Sisters of Battle. And I will still field them foreseeable future.

Post game thoughts....
New Dex thoughts:
On paper and as previous postly posted looks great, but games have been played and the models are tending to thier bruises, wounds, and armour to that is in need of repair.
after 2 games, I went 1-0-1...not bad not the greatest
Important points.
St. Celeste (or as entropmancer refers to her as Whack-a-mole) is an aboslute monster (compared to the rest of the army) in melee...worth it.
Shield of Faith is a nice...granted it is not the 3+ invul save that cost an Act of Faith but it standard 6+ invul save through out the army....And yes I made some and failed some....good
AoF system- I rolled 1's and I rolled 6's, but as a whole the limited acts of faith are helpful but not overpowering....good
Immolator......umm yah....crippled and uneffective in one game....and crippled and uneffective the next game....I miss it not being fast already but I can live
Exorcist.....no change which is ok by me
Seraphim...the good- 2 shots with pistols, AOF, Angelic Visage rules.....the Bad-Honestly the I3 I figure would be the biggest thing.....nope did not bug me at all...(due to fighting Dark Eldar and Tau) but the stupid s3 ap 6 hand flamers.....against Nids it will be good against everything else not so much..
I still need to reconfigure the army to my needs and try other units but I like the list and the army so far....

Heretics be Warned Sisters are here!
Sistes of Battle have landed....and my thoughts
WOOOO FREAKING HOOOOOO
bad things: NO- Book of St. Lucuis, Cloak of St. Aspira, Jumpack on the Canoness, 2 wound Sister HQ (ok this one is not that bad), blessed weapons, hand flamer str3 ap6,
Good things-Free Veteran sisters, cheaper units, NO =][= units, Confessors priests are back, awesome well pointed special characters, command squad can have melee weapons :) acts of faith more streamlined and limited, Repentias may be worth it, and so much more
to show the difference:
Previous dex (my perfered SoB squad)
14 models- Heavy flamer, meltagun, frag grenades, Veteran Sister Superior with Book of St. Lucuis and meltabombs = 214pts
Current dex (same squad)
14 models- heavy flamer, melta gun, and meltabomb on the sister superior 208
6pt difference
Seraphim- both 8 models Seraphim (Veteran sister superior) Superoir armed with twin bolt pistols meltabomb, and the squad has 2 twin hand flamers
Previous: 205
Current: 170
Thats a Difference of a RHINO.....
St. Celeste.....(now know as Saint Alana Janelle of the Order of the Bloody Rose for my purposes...see above) has dropped 86 points.....which down right scary cause her rules are far more scarier than they once were, but the down side is unlike the Canoness she does not have her own "Act of Faith" and she does not have the USR Hit and Run like before...
Some stat lines have changed but overall I am very happy with things....but after tonight we will see...But IT IS A NEW DEX so who cares.

Giddy as a Nun! THE SEQUEL

More News From Blood of Kittens and my View points
It is that time again, thanks for reading and posting your questions. Let me start by letting everyone know I have no idea (or will never know for sure) about new model releases. I don’t know if the new sisters release will be resin or plastic or the numbers in the boxes, but like I said before my bet is on Finecast re-release. Now with that out-of-the-way on to new rules…
What is not in the Codex
•Repressors (Come on GW just release it already)
•Arbites (ok......GW has been trying to kill them off for a while....)
The Units (more information than others)
Canoness: Here is my special shout out to the Canoness: you are terrible. I mean grossly underpowered. Now this is going to sound like a cop-op, but I am not going into details because my hope is that she will be changed before release. It just sounds and looks like she is an unfinished product. She gets her own retinue that cannot do anything; she starts out cheap, but her upgrades are expensive and lame when you compare to everything else. So here is hoping to GW getting her fixed. ( THis beeter not mean I am losing my Flying Nun of DOOM)
Repentia: Forgot to mention they have fleet (this is cool)
Celastians: Cheaper than a Marine, but not really anything going for them (that I know of)… extra attack. Re-roll hits for act of faith (i was hoping for ignore cover rounds or something but...)
Sister Battle Squad: Can still get a Heavy Flamer (This makes me happy)
Shraphim: They are pretty amazing. Cheaper than a Space Marine you get a Jump Packing, Hit and Running, and an act of faith that has them re-rolling wounds. You can also upgrade them to run with double hand flamers and melta pistols. They act both as an extra close combat weapon and become assault 2 instead of being twin-linked. So that means Assault 2 melta weapons. (Assault 2 flamers.......really.......i think this is just for the melta weapons)
Dominion Squads: Still get 4 special weapons. Act of Faith twin-linked. (Twin linked stormbolters....:) )
Retributor Squads: Pretty fantastic. CHEAP! Talking under Long Fang cheap to fully kit out. Expect the return of the Heavy Bolter with these. Act of Faith is Rending. (oh.......YAH now i need a second HVY Bolter squad)
Penitent Engines: Again fantastic. Same statline (Walker). No Scout or Infiltrate. Cheaper and can be a squadron aka 9 Engines. They still get the 1D6 attacks, but any wounds generate additional attacks (don’t know if they work like Blood Talons). 6+ Invul (don’t know if they generate faith) ( this kit is a nightmare...not as bad as the exorcist but something the size of a sentinel in pewter with arms....and now I have to actually build them......%#$@!)
That is all I got guys, if I get more will let you know. As always you can get a new developments by following Blood of Kittens
This sounds good...but there are things i want to know but only time will tell

Giddy as a NUN?
From the Blog by Blood of Kittens:And one SoB players viewpoints so read on Fellas,
From Blood of Kittens
As always let us start with the easy ones that pretty much everyone figured was going to happen.
•Allies gone (never used allies with my SoB so really no effect for me, but makes me happy none the less)
•Inquisition gone ( You are the weakest link good bye! The Inq was always a crutch in my eyes expensive for their use and overall not worth the points.....except for the Land Raider....that i never used)
•Faith streamlined (Can't complain....the rumors sound good so far....)
•USRs updated to 5th (ABOUT FREAKING TIME!)
•Cheaper Unit costs (better include RHINOS, Frag greandes....etc)
So let start with the big one and perhaps most controversial change to Sisters of Battle: Faith
I was amazed reading around the Net how quite a few people are pretty close to understanding how Faith is going to work. One caveat about the faith rules: I only have most of the story so let us hope someone else can pluck the rest from the aether. The only thing that really stays the same is only faith producing units can use faith. Gone is the over and under rules based on model count and gone is faith powers that everyone can use. It is replaced with every unit has its own unit specific act of faith to call upon.
So for instance Repentia Act of Faith allows them to always land an attack even if they are killed before they can swing. They are little bonuses like re-rolling to wound and hit, no USRs. Now this if fine and dandy if you just pop a faith point and bam! power goes off, but not so fast. Acts of Faith require that you roll 5+ to activate . This makes faith much more unreliable… maybe. In addition every unit that can get faith generates 1d6 faith points per turn. This also means that a new faith pool is generated each turn with no storing of past faith. As well faith can be activated in multiple phases of the game, so for instance you can re-roll to hit in your shooting phase or in your assault phase. What is not clear is a few things. Like how many dice can you throw at a single act of faith? How many times can you attempt to activated a power? If you get an act of faith to go off in one phase does it carry over to the next phase? If you fail an act of faith does that mean you cannot try again in another phase? I don’t have the answers, but what do you think? (repentias now have a use....and if every FAITHFUL unit generates 1d6 faith points (which in my 1850 army is all of them) at minimum of 8-9 units.....THAT a whole lotta Faith)
Random tidbits
•All Faith generating units get +6 invul save (heee 107 models with at least a 6+ invul save)
•All units that can get transports get Immolators or Rhinos (hmmmm)
•Assassins gone (Death Cult still in) (EDITED FOR MULTIPLE SWEAR WORDS BY OP not that I used but still)
•Wargear with the same names as GK wargear stay and get changed over. (e.g. Psybolt Ammo) (ehhhhhh....saw that coming)
•Karamazov gone (SO this just proves the laziest man in the universe is not part of the Ecclesiarchy but part of the INQ)
•Priests in, pretty much same as before. ( DUH......they are in 3 dexes why change what is not really broken)
•No change to the general Bolter, Melta, Flame concept of the Sisters (Wow GW did not try to reinvent the wheel)
Specifics\
Sisters have about 5 HQ choices including Special Characters ( Missionaries, Confessors, Canoness, Palatine and Repentia Mistress or something like that......or if i was to write the Codex would be the HQ choices.....)
St. Celestine: Same price as a Grand Master you get 2+/+4 saves, WS/BS 7 Jump Pack, Fleet, Power Weapons always wounds on 4+ Has the power to come back like GK Thawn if killed. (HEHEHEHEHE have to finish mine)
Confessor: Takes the slot of the old Inquisitors. Cheap HQ (Warboss). Can create a henchman band using most of the henchman found in the GK codex. What makes the Confessor extra deadly is the ability for it to re-roll hits and wounds for her and the squad. This is the translation of the rumor matrix. So think for one second about her and the Death Cult together? ( good thing I have 9 death Cult Assassains......but that is different I do plan on fielding a Confessor unless they have rules For Arch Confessor Kyrinov then OH YAH)
Repentia: Cheaper close to SM cost. FNP, Rage, Fearless, 6+ invul, no transports (Giddy.......)
Battle Sister Squad: Cheaper 10-20 unit size (no combat squads), but has access to Immolators which begs the question… Immolators either get increased transport capacity or Sisters break the rules concerning model count and buying transports. Multiple acts of faith. (no change for me unless........)
Exocists: Pretty much same as before. ( I was hoping for something a little less random but.....)
This is it for now gents and dames. If you have any questions let me know I can see if can get them answered sometime this week with another post.
WOW.......now i just need a flier for them.......off to paint, glue, build in a eager anticipation of this..... Later War009
