Whats on the table.....

Lots of stuff.......

But I digress, I am slowing receiving my Grey Knight termiantors in and stuff for my Stike Force Ultra. My sisters are sitting idle as I want to work on terminators. I removed the Land Raider and Land Raider Redeemer (both unfinished and not painted) out of my Crimson Fists. I also removed all the terminators out of the Crimson Fists (I use more sternguard then any other elite in that army).

Strike Force Ultra-

This dataslate is actually 3 formations: Ground assault lead by a captain, Air assault, and a combo of both.

While it restricts the amount and types of models it allows you to use, I have a nice little 1745 pt list planned involving a redeemer, 20 terminators, Venerable Dread, Stormraven and this man.....

I spent the weekend stripping the paint off my 30 terminators as eventually I will have  @ 60+ terminators.....maybe the full 100 man first comapny in terminator armour.....maybe (ok 103 counting Lysander, chaplain and librarian).

I do plan on building a "Terminator Command Squad" but it will just be an excuse to have a terminator weilding a banner (count as SGT), Apothecary (count as Chain fist).

So for now:

"Primarch-Progenitor, to your glory and the glory of him on earth!"

WIP Sisters of Battle Part 3

So nothing to update, been sick and lacked time to work on figures. I did pick up some various bits from Trolls.cz including the weapons (the link takes you to) some axes, torches and other various Sisters of Battle items.

I also scored 4 sets of LONG out of print Forge Worlds Rhino Spaced armor for a decent price

I have been looking for these for awhile (Not the actually ones but a stock photo)

Plus I am waiting for an email to order the multiple Repressors I want.

Armour Value 13/11/10 6 + invulnerable save.....with a a stormbolter and heavy flamer PLUS 8 models firing out of it....UM Yes Please

On the Subject of armored vehicles, The Immolator

 The Original Kit

 The FW Kit

 The Current kit

I have an idea: Demois Pattern FW rhino, lots of plasticard, some FW icons and Brasss etch Fleur de Lis  and I have a MK I ........too many ideas.

On a Side note I was debating adding a Storm Trooper detachment to my Inquistorial section but as I looked at the points, the mass valkyeries and overall money cost was crazy. So I decided my Ordo Hereticus Inquistor will ride in a land raider redeemer with his body guard.

Stay tuned for updates. and next time I'll have pics.

WIP Adepta Sororitas Part 1

so I have started working on my Adepta Sororitas army again. I filed down on the mold lines I have missed over the years, stripped the old paint, and drilled out the bolters. This time around I am painting up my Sisters as the Order of Our Martyred Lady. But why did I change from the Order of the Bloody Rose?

So for a quite a few years I being working on my Sister to be the Order of the Bloody Rose......when I would work on them. Frankly I hated painting their red armor and tried multiple ways to speed through it and was never happy with the result. I would look at images at  Bloody Rose rhinos, repressors, exorcists, and immolators and the nightmare was worse......So it was time for a change, again.

The 2 divergences I am doing from the Fluff of the Order of Our Martyred Lady is their bolters being all boltgun metal (mine will be black or gold for celestians) and they will not all have white hair. The white hair I never understood....The surviving members from the battle of 3rd War of Armageddon, yes  I could the stress of that war. But to effect the entire chapter.....nope don't think so!

Stay Tuned for Part 2 with Work in Progress

What's on my desk pt II

So as promised here is the update of what I have been working on this week:

First off after striping all my previous figures, I realized I need to focus on my 150 pt/ 200 pt armies for the refresher games we have coming up.....eventually.

So my new list focuses on lots of Metros and Loup- Garous so I did a test model of the Loup- Garou sniper.

I need to redo the lens on his scope and his visor in yellow as the gold is too much

Next in preparation for the terrain building i have coming up I picked up some cheap paints and 2 of these:

8 1/2 spherical balls  for cheap plants.

and the past 2 days here is my project:

With the "sapper" special rules I had to add some cover for the figure......

Material used for bases: Secret weapon Tree stumps, White pumice, green stuff (gap filling), wood land scenic gravel ( fine buff, medium and coarse rocks and tree pieces).

I am gonna add camo netting to the Moblot's logs eventually. But all my FRRM bases are ready for priming and painting.  Then to flocking and adding tufts to some of them.

I have a problem.........

As a miniature gamer I know my painting skills. But of late Infinity has really really really tested my patience.  I know I can paint better than I have been lately. But I look at my FRRM figures and then look at my Sisters of Battle or my Crimson Fists I have done and I try to figure what am I am doing wrong. With my 40K models I can spend hours doing all the basics and be happy, Infinity I spend hours and then they are dipped in finger nail polish remover. With that said my FRRM figures are back to bare pewter or blue primer....I'm redoing them all but I think I am going green and tan or Green for my figures like so:

with my bases changing  it will go more woodland bases. My Loup-Garous figure into my army building style greatly along with Metros so they will be the first to get painted. This time it will be working on my 125/150 lists...

What's on my desk

I'd normally post a picture here.....but I really need to organize my room to get back to working at my desk...

So what is on my desk? Well  I am going to start here as a Weekly/ Bi Weekly/ Monthly (hopefully not that long of time)  of projects I have been working on as time permits.

So this week I would like to say I accomplished a lot.....I painted 2 figures....3 times. That's right I painted Senor Massacre and my Alguaciles Hacker from the Corregidor Starter. Unfortunately Senor Massacre was painted twice to look like Marvel Comics Dead Pool:

and I was unhappy with both attempts so both were stripped.

Fortunately my order from Miniature Market that I was exchanging arrived.  A few weeks ago I ordered Secret Weapon Miniatures bases from them and upon arrival I realized:

1 I ordered Warmachine Style urban 40mm bases but need the GW/ Infinity style beveled bases.
2 They sent me 25mm Trench warfare bases instead of the 25mm urban I ordered.

After notifying of them of the issues I had a prepaid label to exchange all the items including my mistake. Now I have the proper bases for my Merovingian (FRRM). So with their bases now I will be working on My FRRM later today. I plan to clean and paint the bases, attach magnets to them, and attach Antenocitis Workshop Compass Bars to them.

Also I will be testing out my new tool:

Wet Pallet.

If you wanna buy one Privateer Press has one for MSRP of $19.99

Now mine was built following the instructions of Tom from Maya Cast on the 2nd Episode of Tom and Kip's podcast. Item needs for my version: Paper towels (3-6 pieces), Parchment Paper (I paid under $5.00 for 15 in x 50ft), Sandwich sized tupperware with a flat lid (I paid under $5.00 for mine), and painters tape.

Bad boys bad boys....watcha gonna do

So I am still working on my Infinity Force de Reponse Rapide Merovingienne (FRRM or Merovingian Rapid Response Force). I still lots of models to work on and build but due to a text message from entropmancer this afternoon saying Miniature market was having a big sale. I was able to purchase some terrain. Hopefully it is enough. The plain is to possible paint them as ghetto or run down, slightly. This along with my Secret Weapon bases for my models I hope it will turn out nicely.....hopefully.

here it the link for the stuff I bought Plast Craft Games Designed for Infinity

Oath of the Moment part 5

So was planning on getting more done this week but was busy with other projects.......but final got around to building some today before taking a break.

Once I get back to it I plan to start building the drop pods as they have to built in sub assemblies as the kit I started earlier.

I bring to you Techmarine Metcalf

or as his squadron mates refer to him by his Callsign Viper. Viper is one of the more elite pilots of the Crimson Fists and as the perk gets to fly around in one of modified Storm Talons the chapter received Post Rynn's World Disaster. Viper is currently assigned to support the 2nd company.

And what is his modified Storm Talon

base kit is Dark Talon. Lower tail wing removed, lascannons were replaced with assault cannons from the Land Speeder kit, missiles will be IG missles on a rack (3 per wing) and also rocket tubes.

MK VI Armour led Combat squad with Plasma Cannon

As you notice the second half of the Tactical squad doesn't have running legs......they will be the only ones in the whole army that won't have the running legs.....could only acquire 25 assault marine legs and 15 vanguard legs...

Also all bolter marines will have the Anvil Industry Upgrades. I plan to build the Drop pods all at the same time......so that is gonna take some time with the death winds I have to convert. I need to  purchase another tactical squad box so I have all  my models. but 11 days down and 11 models built.......
