This is from forgeworld's gamesday 2011 pictures, I believe that it, combined with the contemptor (droooooool...), and the pre-heresy/heresy era marks of armor and equipment, mean that a pre-heresy/heresy era book might be in the works.
What do you all think?

Infinity versus 40k: apples to oranges.
it seem that whenever a new game becomes popular, the 40k haters(disgruntled players, maybe?) sprout up on the forums and extol its virtues. The problem with them saying that game "X" is superior ( usually claimed that it is so in every possible way) is tha it is apples to oranges.
Lets compare/contrast infinity and 40k, for an example of this, but we will avoid the fallacious logic for the most part.
Both are wargames, which by nature, are simulations of military actions. Both are set in a fantasy future. Both use miniatures, model terrain and are played "tabletop."
These are fairly superficial similarities, and can mislead someone into thinking they can be compared on a value for value basis.
The differences are significant and are why comparing wargames from different companies is difficult. Infinity is a skirmish game set at the squad to platoon level. 40k, however is set at the company to battalion level, meaning that you will have many more units to control and react to. 40k is a "i go, you go" style of turn mechanic, where infinity uses rules for reactive fire and over-watch. This has a significant effect upon play style, as in infinity, you cannot leave the table when your opponent is taking their turn. Infinity has a more complex ruleset, meaning that real-world tactics are better applied than in 40k, whose ruleset is geare towards ease of play.
In addition to the differences between the games from a rules standpoint, is why someone plays either. We here at the reaper enjoy both, infinity for its complexity, story, and challenging play, and 40k for its world, the models, and being able to get together in a large group and spend an evening playing the game and talking "shop talk."
In short, neither game is "better," but offer different experiences. I feel that, by focusing on " which game is better," we risk creating cliques, instead of forming a strong gaming community. Without a strong, clique-free gaming community, we risk re-starting the "dice chucker-cardflopper wars of the 90's. We certainly don't want that.

Infinity Game night and Special Thanks
So Shortly Entropmancer should be posting the Battle Reports or I should say the Kill counts from the Z-Day Mission found on the Infinity Forums cause we did get distracted with the game and random mutterings and comments made from the group.....mainly due to Carl the Zombie and the 2 Civilans- Crazy Asian lady with sheers and the little kid, she was chasing everytime they came on the table....and forgot to take pictures and notes on the important events- Like a 112 dying in the first ARO shot I did due to an errant GL round flying back and hitting the 112 and almost getting my LT too.
First Let me say this Entropmancer and I have been friends for a while and playing 40k against each other since 1997 so everytime we have tried to play a new game no one wants to play it....and it loses it intrest pretty quick. But for our 2 Infinty event Entropmancer and I were joined by his Girlfriend, her brother, and Technomajestic and we all had a blast.
and Special thanks should go to Battlefoam/ Game Saloon for their awesome terrain, great stock of Infinity models and support for the Infinity game.

STALL....STALL....Pull up Pull up
Odd title strange picture.....WTF.....well if you remember the start of my project =][= "blackbird"...well you must be the only reader
besides the 3 of us that write this blog, but back on topic so I stalled on my Stormraven project for multiple reasons:
1- GK codex don't own it, Don't want too...(same goes for the BA dex)
2- Time issues.....I don't have it
3- this goes with #2, I don't have time to play 40k or wargaming for that matter
4- chapterhousestudios.....
5- Infinity is more fun
so I just ordered the final piece for the piece for the "blackbird" which unfortunatly like most new modern military aircraft isdead on the ground, cancelled, Senate budget pulled the funds for it, grounded and consider it an X-plane
so back on topic....but if I ordered the new part and no plans for it in 40k.
Parts ordered: http://chapterhousestudios.com/webshop/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.product_details&category_id=4&flypage=flypage.tpl&product_id=130
beautiful kit, not bad price, but now for the idea.....dropship/transport for Infinity...ie terrain objective and eventually hopefully rules.....but it may work it may not....but it is an idea...thanks to CHS it is one I am wanting to do again....
