Whats on the table.....

Lots of stuff.......

But I digress, I am slowing receiving my Grey Knight termiantors in and stuff for my Stike Force Ultra. My sisters are sitting idle as I want to work on terminators. I removed the Land Raider and Land Raider Redeemer (both unfinished and not painted) out of my Crimson Fists. I also removed all the terminators out of the Crimson Fists (I use more sternguard then any other elite in that army).

Strike Force Ultra-

This dataslate is actually 3 formations: Ground assault lead by a captain, Air assault, and a combo of both.

While it restricts the amount and types of models it allows you to use, I have a nice little 1745 pt list planned involving a redeemer, 20 terminators, Venerable Dread, Stormraven and this man.....

I spent the weekend stripping the paint off my 30 terminators as eventually I will have  @ 60+ terminators.....maybe the full 100 man first comapny in terminator armour.....maybe (ok 103 counting Lysander, chaplain and librarian).

I do plan on building a "Terminator Command Squad" but it will just be an excuse to have a terminator weilding a banner (count as SGT), Apothecary (count as Chain fist).

So for now:

"Primarch-Progenitor, to your glory and the glory of him on earth!"

I have a problem.........

As a miniature gamer I know my painting skills. But of late Infinity has really really really tested my patience.  I know I can paint better than I have been lately. But I look at my FRRM figures and then look at my Sisters of Battle or my Crimson Fists I have done and I try to figure what am I am doing wrong. With my 40K models I can spend hours doing all the basics and be happy, Infinity I spend hours and then they are dipped in finger nail polish remover. With that said my FRRM figures are back to bare pewter or blue primer....I'm redoing them all but I think I am going green and tan or Green for my figures like so:

with my bases changing  it will go more woodland bases. My Loup-Garous figure into my army building style greatly along with Metros so they will be the first to get painted. This time it will be working on my 125/150 lists...

Bad boys bad boys....watcha gonna do

So I am still working on my Infinity Force de Reponse Rapide Merovingienne (FRRM or Merovingian Rapid Response Force). I still lots of models to work on and build but due to a text message from entropmancer this afternoon saying Miniature market was having a big sale. I was able to purchase some terrain. Hopefully it is enough. The plain is to possible paint them as ghetto or run down, slightly. This along with my Secret Weapon bases for my models I hope it will turn out nicely.....hopefully.

here it the link for the stuff I bought Plast Craft Games Designed for Infinity

Oath of the Moment part 5

So was planning on getting more done this week but was busy with other projects.......but final got around to building some today before taking a break.

Once I get back to it I plan to start building the drop pods as they have to built in sub assemblies as the kit I started earlier.

I bring to you Techmarine Metcalf

or as his squadron mates refer to him by his Callsign Viper. Viper is one of the more elite pilots of the Crimson Fists and as the perk gets to fly around in one of modified Storm Talons the chapter received Post Rynn's World Disaster. Viper is currently assigned to support the 2nd company.

And what is his modified Storm Talon

base kit is Dark Talon. Lower tail wing removed, lascannons were replaced with assault cannons from the Land Speeder kit, missiles will be IG missles on a rack (3 per wing) and also rocket tubes.

here's the Pics:

Veteran Sgt Grimm's Combat squad

MK VI Armour led Combat squad with Plasma Cannon

As you notice the second half of the Tactical squad doesn't have running legs......they will be the only ones in the whole army that won't have the running legs.....could only acquire 25 assault marine legs and 15 vanguard legs...

Also all bolter marines will have the Anvil Industry Upgrades. I plan to build the Drop pods all at the same time......so that is gonna take some time with the death winds I have to convert. I need to  purchase another tactical squad box so I have all  my models. but 11 days down and 11 models built.......

Well that lasted long...............

So discussing the upcoming campaign the 10th co Raptors were going to be fitting into a future campaign. And I realized that running the raptors was not going to work......so before it starts it finishes. But with everything going back to my Crimson Fists means that army will be closer to personal goals of a full Crusade Co, Full 5th and full 10th companies. Plus with the Sentinels of Terra Supplement I'll have elements of the another Company  (probably 2nd, I want to  use the Special character Sgt as a count as Vet Sgt Huron Grimm).

and speaking of supplements.....I downloaded the Storm wing formation, Kill Team, and Stronghold assault data slates......Kill team  looks awesome I see my Converted Stern guards appearing as my kill team.

But I need to add a few more members to this squad to be my kill team...

Where the $%*^ have we been and whats new?

So its been a while since any of the three of us has posted anything. Entropmancer has been working on his Knights and Technomajestic has been doing some amazing GS stuff work on his miniatures.  Hopefully they will be posted shortly.

Me? I have been purchasing stuff for my next army.

Pictured (from the top): 4 scout bikes, Storm Raven, bits (Mad Robot miniatures HeadsAnvil Industries Optics and accessories  and GW bits), sandbag walls from valuegear details, a Dark Talon to be converted into a Storm talon, 25 bolter/ melee/ shotgun scouts, 5 sniper scouts, 2 Land Speeder Storms, various basing material from Secret weapons miniatures and Army builder, 4 FW drop tanks 5 FW bombs (I am pretty sure these are knock offs :( ), 6 CMK 1/48 Hydra Rocket pods, 3 FW Heavy bolter tarantulas, 3 lascannon tarantulas, and Dreamforge eisenkern stormtrooper accessory set. (not pictured is an additional 15 melee/ bolter/ shotgun scouts and 5 snipers scouts)

And what is this For you ask? Raven guard successors Raptor chapter (From Forgeworld download):

The Raptors (Progenitors: Raven Guard)
One of the few known successors of the Raven Guard, the
Raptors maintain a spirit of independence, with their individual
companies often spending centuries apart developing unique
tactics and strategies that are later reincorporated into the
Chapter’s flexible combat doctrine. Even amongst such expert
marksman as the Adeptus Astartes, the Raptors are rightly
famed and feared for their ability to place lethally accurate
bolter fire onto enemy units, a skill often practised from
ambush to devastating effect.

Strike from the Shadows (as per the Raven Guard Chapter
Tactic in Codex: Space Marines): Models in this detachment
have the Scout special rule. In addition, on the first game turn,
models in the detachment have the Stealth special rule. Note
that units which contain models with any variant of the Bulky
special rule do not benefit from either rule.

Legendary Marksmen: Any unit with this special rule that does
not move in the Movement phase of their turn may choose
to gain the Rending special rule when firing in the Shooting
phase of that turn with boltguns, combi-weapons fired as
boltguns or bolt pistols.
When using this rule, all boltguns, combi-weapons used as
boltguns and bolt pistols fired are counted as being Heavy 1
weapons instead of Rapid Fire or Pistol type weapons for that
turn.

and here is the first model for the army, 10th Company Chaplain Lipton, Instructor of the Creed

and to show a Mad Robot Miniature head on a scout body

Stay tuned

Where have I been?

Hello all, War009 here....been AWOL for a bit.

So I played 2 games with my GK paladin list a while back and both were wins but have not played 40k in a while since then.....busy busy busy...

So the new Space marine dex dropped which means cash was dropped. Unlike some one else I won't name I really didn't buy much.....during the release weekend.  Just the dex, new Libby and some paint. As larger as my army is I don't need much. Tuesday came and I bought 2 new tactical squads and a stern guard box.  New tactical squad is amazing! Thanks Gw! But gah that stern guard box sucks ass......as a stern guard box. Yes you get all the gear and crap (love the bare heads) but I play CRIMSON FISTS....not G FUNK P DIDDY Bling marines....so being the marine player I am I am taking the 25 marines kit bashing them throwing a few models in and making a 3 tactical squads (6 man for now eventually 7), 5 man stern guard and something else....hehe (entropmancer knows).

For now pics of the 3 Stern guard I have converted so far:

 My favorite pose...slicing the Ork

And punch you in the face

MK VI ARMOR SGT!

Also I noticed that my 6 other stern guard squads all have a dude pointing...I don't know why...this one won't I hope.

Ok pics aren't working .....again I'll fix them later...

Why I only have two armies/Insurance is required

So I was thinking of showing internet land why I say I've played so many armies yet only have two currently and here is a big reason why.
It's Called a house fire!

This first picture is my miniature shelf, marines on top, IG infantry on the second, Ork Infantry on the third, Ork and IG vehicles on the fourth and fifith
Close up of the IG shelf

Ork Infantry and IG vehicles

Close up of IG armor

And the poor poor, ork armor

My work table

My poor marines
As you can see, the fire did alot of damage, the orks were ruined, (ork with arms up originally, had them at his sides!) my marines, despite how they look, survived with only one model lost. (ironically it was the apothecary)

But there is a silver lining in all this, my renters insurance covered my little plastic men! so some where replaced, and the let me keep the models I could salvage. but smoke damage of this level is bad, my forgeworld tanks are bubbling paint, every time I base coat them, I get bubbles that form and ruin the paint!
